Grants offered to 10 automotive manufacturing businesses
Automotive Diversification Programme grants have been offered to 10 innovative Australian automotive component manufacturers.
The grants, ranging from $100,000 to $1 million, will help the businesses diversify and move into new markets before local car manufacturing ends in 2017.
Each of the businesses will also invest their own funds into their projects.
Successful applicants and projects
The grants will support a range of innovative projects, including projects that will:
1. develop a new side-tipping option for large transport machines in the mining, construction and agriculture industries
2. introduce new product forming techniques, so that local designers can produce high-end furniture more efficiently
3. commercialise a new range of stackable and folding transport solutions for the logistics market.

About the Automotive Diversification Programme (ADP)
The ADP funding is part of the Growth Fund, which aims to help Australian automotive supply chain businesses move into new markets.
Including this announcement, ADP will have supported 31 diversification projects in Australian manufacturing.
